factory. Willis was interested in acting at the age of high school. When he
worked at a New York City café, the cafe was "discovered". He then
began to appear in several off-Broadway productions. A night, he worked as a

Addison" along with sultry Cybill Shepherd in the smash romantic comedy
series on television Moonlighting (1985). The sarcastic and wise-cracking P.I.
Some view it as an exercise in preparation for Willis his role in Die Hard
(1988), where he defeated the thieves of a gang at a Los Angeles skyscraper.
The sequel, Die Hard 2 (1990), Willis reprised his character as McClane. The
story was set in Washington's Dulles International Airport where a group of
rebellious Special Forces soldiers are trying to return an unjust South
American general. The film's excellent sales at the box office led to an sequel
to Die Hard with bloodshed (1995). This time, Samuel L. Jackson starred as a
shrewd Harlem shopowner, who was unwittingly forced into helping McClane during
a terror attack on a hot New York City day.
